Starting off with Marvel’s biggest dud, let’s talk about Man-Thing. This straight-to-SyFy Channel snoozer is not only the worst Marvel movie made, but it is one of the most dull, lifeless, and generic horror movies ever released. Fortunately for Marvel, Man-Thing is a largely unknown, D-List comic character, preventing all three of his fans from being hurt by the injustice done to him here. The effects are actually pretty decent for the low budget, though it’s a shame that you only see Man-Thing clearly once at the end of the film. I haven’t even mentioned that the film is populated with Australian actors, who give their best Louisiana accents…and by best, I mean not even close to passable. To think that this was released after X2: X-Men Unitedand Spider-Man 2 (widely considered two highpoints in the Marvel filmography) is enough to make one cringe.
