Live By Night (2016) Review

Live by night is an American Crime film directed by Ben Affleck who also stars as the films main protagonist. The film is based on a 2012 novel by Dennis Lehane which also shares the same name. Live by Night overall is a good crime film with some interesting characters and beautiful locales. It seems Ben Affleck is on his way to becoming a great director, but as a follow up film to Argo, this film...[Read More]

Telltale’s The Walking Dead Season 3: Episode 1 and 2 (2016) PS4 Review

The Walking Dead is a series that I have grown very fond of since the inception of the AMC series in 2010. Whereas I don’t entirely agree with the current direction of the show I can usually count on the Telltale series providing great writing and storytelling within the Walking Dead universe. Walking Dead: A New Frontier is the continuation of season 2 and takes place a few years after the events...[Read More]

Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them (2016) Review

When I first heard the announcement of the film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them I was a bit surprised overall. It seemed like after the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, J.K Rowling seemed to be moving away from the film franchise. However, I was glad to see that the wizarding world universe was being revisited on the big screen, albeit a bit skeptical on how the mass...[Read More]

Dark Souls 3: Ashes Of Ariandel (2016) PS4 Review 2

When it comes to quality downloadable content there are few game studios today that I can completely trust. Fortunately, From Software happens to be one of those studios that seems to always deliver on a great experience with their DLC. Because the gaming industry today is constantly pushing consumers to buy season passes (sometimes before the game is even out) it’s nice to be able to pick and cho...[Read More]

The Girl On The Train (2016) Review #2

The Girl on the Train is yet another Hollywood novel to film adaptation that has a lot of hype and expectations built around it. The Girl on the Train is a mystery thriller directed by Tate Taylor, whose previous directorial work includes critically acclaimed films such as The Help and Get on Up. The Girl on the Train is based upon Paula Hawkins’ novel of the same name and follows all of the...[Read More]

Batman Episode 2: Children of Arkham (2016) PS4 Review

Telltale has always been a studio that has presented players with interesting and unique moral dilemmas and choices. The Batman universe is rife with unique stories and possible differing outcomes. In the first episode of Telltale Batman, titled Realm of Shadows, Telltale sets up a story that attempts to flesh out the Bruce Wayne character and delve farther into the psyche and mentality that drove...[Read More]

Fallout 4: Nuka World DLC (2016) PS4 Review

When Fallout 4: Nuka World was first announced I was a bit skeptical on how much story content and exploration Bethesda would actually be able to provide within the theme park setting they presented. Thankfully Nuka World delivers on mostly all of the aspects you would expect from typical Bethesda downloadable content. The setting and exploration in Nuka World is great and provides many opportunit...[Read More]

Nioh Beta Impressions

Nioh is a samurai action role playing game being developed by Team Ninja and being published by Koei Tecmo. The Alpha released earlier this year had over 850,000 downloads but seemed to be met with mixed results particularly over balancing issues and difficulty spikes. The beta being released this month aims to fix some of the problems presented in the alpha and add a new area and slew of new feat...[Read More]
