Blizzard Entertainment has released a trailer for their upcoming patch for World of Warcraft: Legion, The Tomb of Sargeras.
Originally announced at Blizzcon 2016, The Tomb of Sargeras, which is the first major content patch for World of Warcraft: Legion, is looking to up the ante by reintroducing some key players in the Warcraft mythos. The first is the Eredar Lord, Kil’jaeden, an antagonist that players haven’t squared off against since the Fury of the Sunwell Raid back in Burning Crusade. Often considered the second-in-command for the entirety of the Burning Legion, Kil’jaeden is most well known for creating the Lich King, and attempting to use the undead Scourge as a weapon against the mortal races of Azeroth.
The second, and far more anticipated character being introduced, is none other than the leader of the Burning Legion, Sargeras. Originally the Champion of the Pantheon, Sargeras was tasked with bringing order to the Universe and protecting worlds that had been shaped by his fellow Titans; he eventually became disillusioned by all of the evil he had witnessed in the Universe and turned on his comrades, creating the Burning Legion in the process. Although Sargeras has been one of the prime antagonists in the Warcraft lore since the early days of the series, this patch will mark the first time that he has had an in-game appearance, even if he is just a green flame with an ominous voice.
The Tomb of Sargeras, which is being released on March 28th, will bring with it a wealth of new content for players to devour, such as: New World Quests, Pet Battle Dungeons, New Artifact Quest lines, The Tomb of Sargeras Raid, and many more features. Legion, which is the sixth expansion for World of Warcraft, was released on August 30, 2016.
