Last Day To Get Free Xbox One Tomb Raider Definitive Edition and Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes

Today is your last chance to download a free copy of Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition for Xbox One (you have to be a Xbox Live Gold member).  Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is a remastered version of the 2013 Tomb Raider that features a revamped, younger Lara Croft with a supernatural-infused storyline.

The game is available for free as part of Microsoft’s Games With Gold promotion.  Also available for free download (if you are a Xbox Live Gold member) is Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. Similarly, today is your last day to download MGS V: Ground Zeroes for free.

Both games are highly rated by FGE’s game critics.

Liam Bailey of FGE gave it a 9/10, saying:

With the Definitive Edition ported to the next generation consoles, you would naturally expect an improvement in graphics. Don’t worry because graphics have been improved thanks to good particle effects and higher resolution character models. From the first few minutes spent in the harsh world of Tomb Raider, you can’t help but take in the incredible island of Yamatai. The mountains, sea and ruins all look amazing and go a long way in making Yamatai the world that it is. The island is not the only aspect of the game that receives improved graphical treatment – the character model of Lara Croft herself has also undergone a makeover. The new Lara now looks like she has just received a dose of botox, making her look even more impressive on your high definition TV.  These improvement in the game’s graphics is sure to set a benchmark for the visuals in future games to follow.

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is easily one of the best games to hit the next generation consoles. The stunning graphics, enhanced features and the interesting supernatural elements embedded into the game’s brilliant story make this a definite buy for anyone who hasn’t played this game before.

As for Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, Devron Minor of FGE also gave it a 9/10, saying:

The graphics encroach on photorealism in this iteration of the franchise where Snake’s mannerisms are nuanced, each guard has their own unique facial model, and the realistic dynamic lighting and weather effects are truly a spectacle to behold.  Ground Zeroes looks amazing on Playstation 4 with its 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second. The game also runs well on Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3 (but I must admit that the Playstation 4 version looks and plays the best). It’s a testament to the versatility of the Fox Engine that Ground Zeroes looks great across all platforms.
